Time Card Calculator

Log your shifts, tag any special rates you already know about, and get an estimated pay breakdown to compare against your actual payslip. Everything runs in your browser, nothing is sent to a server.

Pay setup

$ /hr

Leave a threshold blank to skip it. Hours are only counted as overtime automatically when at least one threshold is set — this is arithmetic on the numbers you provide, not an award calculation.

Custom pay rules (optional)

Add any rate you already know applies — weekend loading, night shift, a higher rate for covering a different role. You define the name and the amount; this tool doesn't assume anything.

Compare this estimate against your actual payslip to spot any discrepancies.

Overtime is calculated using simple daily-then-weekly threshold rules on the totals you enter — it's an estimate, not an award or legal calculation. Shifts tagged with a custom pay rule are excluded from automatic overtime detection and paid entirely at their tagged rate. A shift needs a date set to be grouped into daily/weekly overtime totals — without one it's still counted, just as ordinary hours.

About this tool: it only does arithmetic on the rates and rules you provide — it has no built-in knowledge of any country's award rates, minimum wage laws, overtime entitlements, or public holiday calendar. If you're in Australia and want to check what you're legally owed, the Fair Work Ombudsman runs a free official calculator: calculate.fairwork.gov.au.
