How it works

  1. Pick the operation. Addition, subtraction, multiplication or division, or tick several for a mixed worksheet.
  2. Set the number size. Choose how many digits, which times tables, or whether remainders are allowed. Difficulty is set by number size only.
  3. Print the worksheet and the key. The answer key comes on its own page, so you can hand out the worksheet and keep the key.

Is it free, and do I need an account?

It’s free, and there’s no account or sign-up. Everything runs in your browser, and nothing is saved or uploaded.

Can I make a worksheet with no carrying?

Yes. Choose Addition and untick “Allow carrying”, and every column adds up to 9 or less. Untick “Allow borrowing” for subtraction in the same way. Subtraction answers are never negative.

How do I get the same worksheet again?

Each worksheet has a short sheet code under the preview. Type that code into the box, with the same settings, and you get exactly the same worksheet and answer key.

Is there a multiplication worksheet generator for times tables?

Yes. Choose Multiplication, then Times tables, and tick the tables you want, from 1 to 12. The problems are spread across the tables you tick, so one table doesn’t dominate.

Does it include word problems?

Not yet. This tool makes printable arithmetic worksheets (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) with a separate answer key.
